Vote Passes Unanimously!

At 2:30am, under the leadership of Chairman Corey Stewart, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors unanimously passed the funding of the illegal immigration crack down marking Prince William County as the toughest county in the nation on the problem of illegal immigration.

I think you have to take

I think you have to take into consideration what these people have done that is illeagal...they crossed a line, and the punishment should fit the crime. They didnt come here to hurt anyone but to work. Im not saying we shouldn't do anything about it but I don't think denyng them services is the way to go about it. Help them to become legal. We need them. They are hard workers and willing to do many of the jobs that Americans are not. And as for taxes, if they live in a townhouse or rent an appartment they pay realestate taxes, when they buy something at the store they pay sales tax, and they pay state and federal taxes unless they are paid under the table and whose fault is that? Probably some American business owner. Yes I may feel inconvenienced by them but that is not a reason to come down hard on them. I do feel sometimes that racism is an issue. So what if they all became leagal. They will still be in the schools and overcrowding neighborhoods... just legally. So then will they be accepted or will people still complain? Just my thoughts.

By all means, get legal!

If the illegal immigrants became legal, they could pay taxes! If they want to work the jobs that 'we' don't want to work, have at them! Become legal the right way so you don't spit in the face of all of the future legal immigrants; don't just hop a fence and be in America. That is just an insult to the thousands of people studying for the Citizenship Test, learning English, and giving a just reason why they should be admitted to the country.

Think about the people trying to legally immigrate to the United States, let's just say from Canada, that have been trying to get a legal status in America. Now if you are a Canadian that is trying to immigrate legally and you see your neighbor run accross the border and he hasn't come back and it has been eight years and you are still trying to gain legal access, how is that going to make you feel? If it was me, I would feel a little jaded.

It blows my mind that people fight for the right to be illegal. Break the law and go unpunished? Great theory.

Defending the illegal immigrants:

1. We have failed as a country to secure our borders.
2. They are only trying to have a better life for themselves and their family.
3. They do work that the average American perfers not to.

But,

Please do it legally and stop trying to defend the people that have taken a shortcut. If I can take myself out of the position of being a child to a single mother on welfare eating generic mac'n'cheese every day to where I am today, after learning the hard way that there are no shortcuts, than why can't they? It wasn't easy for me and it wasn't easy for their countrymen to do it in their country, but it can be done. Have some patriotism. Support your country, whatever country it is.

Good Job

I don't live in your part of the country but it is like a breath of fresh air to see someone in the political arena doing what the people of this country want. Good Job and good luck on the upcomming election.

Passed Funding Amendment

Thank you Chairman Stewart, and all the Prince William County Board Members for unanimously passing this much-needed vote! I was in the audience and witnessed first-hand the citizens input. Thank you first and foremost for sending out the notice. Thank you for supporting the LEGAL citizens of our county and listening to us spill our guts on the podium. But thanks to all who listened and participated. By-the-way: If I lived in a host country for 20 plus years, I would learn the language out of necessity. Please help the rest of the State realize the mess Virginia is in. Please give Chief Deane all the funds he needs so that his officers and staff can do what is necessary. As a legal citizen, I am disheartened to see what has become of PWC, but encouraged by the Boards Strength to stand up for what is right.

Thank you.

THANK YOU

All i can say is THANK YOU!!!! It is about flippin time!!!!

OUTSTANDING

Outstanding work to Mr. Stewart and the board for passing this tough referendum on illegal immigration. The rest of the nation will truly be watching our county for its next moves. We are truly the tip of the spear.

Corey Stewart for President

I have to take my hat off to Mr. Stewart. His determination to uphold the rule of law has created a positive change that has not been possible at higher levels of government due to incompetent or compromised politicians. Many movements begin as grass roots efforts and work their way up to the state and federal levels.

Mr. Stewart has received national attention and has become a leader in a greater issue that extends far beyond Prince William County.

We here in San Diego, CA applaud your accomplishments.
Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Thank you Corey and all the

Thank you Corey and all the Supervisors! I have never been so proud to be a resident of Prince William County. My own definition of bravery is being afraid of doing something but doing it any way. Our Supervisors knew they would be called silly names and would certainly be taken to court by passing this resolution, but they knew it was the right thing to do and in the best interests of or county and they did it anyway. That, my friends is bravery! Now if most of the rest of the counties in this great country would follow PWC's clear thinking policies, our illegal alien problem would soon go away. God bless :)

Dear Illegal Immigrants and Sympathizers!

Back in the day when people immigrated LEGALLY to the United States of America, there was a little place called Ellis Island. Do you know what they did at Ellis Island? Let me enlighten you. More than 20 million immigrants were quarrantined to stop the spread of disease. Diseases like Scarlet Fever. What does my nephew get in public school? Scarlet Fever. That's what. Our country had eliminated this disease within it's borders decades ago. Why don't you tell me why my nephew contracted Scarlet Fever from an ILLEGAL immigrant? Why don't you tell me why they admitted the ILLEGAL immigrant into my county's public schools? Why don't you tell me why this child does not speak English and is holding the entire class back? Why don't you tell me why this child does not have the required shots? Why don't you tell me why my tax dollars (yes, us CITIZENS have to actually pay taxes) are supporting illegal immigrants in public schools, paying for their healthcare along with our own, supporting them with our military, protecting them with our police forces and paying for roads for them to drive on?

The key word here is ILLEGAL. Rape, murder, robbery, assault. These are all ILLEGAL. Just like entering the country illegally is ILLEGAL. Saying that we should just let people that break our laws be free and stay in society with no consequences for their illegal actions is rediculous.

I am proud to be represented by a man that cares about his county. An American who cares about his state and the well being of his country. No matter how many angry illegal immigrants there are about this issue doesn't matter. Not to me, not to my representative. The voting members of your community applaud you Mr. Stewart, and we will continue to show our support in votes.

I am sorry I cannot translate my comments, I only speak English (the national language.)

Justin

Stewart OH-SEVEN

Mr. Stewart, you stand up for what I believe in. Get some rest and we'll keep tackling this with your constituents AT YOUR SIDE.

Needless to say, you have my vote :)

Great Job!

I was born in Peru but I grew up in Woodbridge. For the first time I'm proud to be a "legal" US Citizen. It was about time b/c I am ashamed of some the transformation our county is going through b/c of illegal immigration. I can’t sustain an increase on my property taxes and that’s why I support the crack down. We are admired all over the world for having a country of dignity, values and laws so I’m privilege to be here so let’s not get intimidated by so called " Casa de America" these are guys that have nothing better to do. For all we know they are probably illegal’s. Job well done!

hey come gatos,
escucha...first of all people like you son estorbos de la sociedad. I am a Woodbridge resident and I was born here, but I would never put my people down. You should be ashamed of your self to join white racial america. I hope you never go back to Peru b/c they would stone you.

Snow-white foreigners...

I suppose you haven't any criminals in whatever country your people came from. Try....TRY...to understand the difference betwen welcoming REGISTERED, LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and those who are essentially burglars who sneak into your neighborhood and use up resources and rob the poeple...such as law-abiding Peruvians...who patiently follow the rules and wait their turn. The criminals you so fiercely defend have STOLEN their place in line, and deny decent immigrants the ability bring their families. Illegal immigrants drain the resources and no one can calculate or plan for what are the needs of a growing population when so many are hiding. Go ahead, cabron....try to plan a dinner when you don't know how many are going to show up. Try to buy groceries when you don't know how many are eating from your refrigerator. It is no different when building schools or roads, staffing a hospital, hiring teachers or firemen. Shame on YOU, pendeho. There is no one putting people down here but YOU, because YOU are making the assumption that the lawbreakers being referred to MUST INCLUDE ALL THOSE WHO SHARE YOUR RACE or HERITAGE. Racist. You can't see beyond your ownskin. You don't know who YOUR true poeple ARE.....your neighbors.

I was born in Peru comment

Have you been to Peru lately? Don't forget where you came from or why you came here!! Why don't you share your immigration story with the rest of us? Any skeleton's in your closet?

You got my support

Vote

Thank you for protecting services for our legal citizens! Those that are not citizens should go through the naturalization process to join this great Nation!

Great Job

The issue of illegal immigration has finally been addressed and something is going to be done about it!

Great Job

I feel as though I am literally being elbowed out of my neighborhood of almost 18 years by the huge influx of non-English speaking illegal immigrants. The true test will be the actual enforcement of the resolution. Good Luck!

racist bastard!

you should always remember who invited YOU into this country. What goes up does come down, and i do hope with all of my passion that your fall is deep and hurtful; it is a horror to see that children will be fed you bullshit ONLY for political purposes. what do you tell your children, that they should hate the brownies? justice will be served sooner or later! your victory is not but a step to your failure!
looser!

"You go to hell" define

"You go to hell" define yourself first are you "liberal or Illegal" we have done something right for a change.

a first step

As the granddaughter, stepdaughter and wife of an immigrant, I thank the board for taking the first step in trying to protect the rights of US citizens and legal immigrants. For illegal immigrants to play the "race card" is unfair. There are specific avenues you must travel in order to obtain citizenship and if you choose not to take them, you are breaking the law--that is all there is to it. My family members who had to jump through all the legal hoops to enjoy the freedom and prosperity here do not want to pay for you to get for free all they worked hard and followed the law to earn. I love Hispanic culture, the language(s) and the diversity of the people. My issue is with people of any ethnicity who come here illegally and expect me to pay for their social services.

I am interested to see what impact this resolution will have (if any) or if it will be enforced fairly. Still, if the feds don't act, then it's up to us to do something. I regret the anger and divisiveness this issue has caused. Perhaps Mr. Stewart could learn to be a little less "in your face" and a little more understanding? Not that I want him to back down but he does seem a bit antagonistic.
