Today, Congressman Rob Wittman announced he will no longer seek the Republican nomination for Governor of Virginia. Corey Stewart released the following statement:
"Congressman Wittman decided to remain in Congress today to serve the people of Virginia's 1st District, and not continue a run for governor.
As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Wittman is a key senior leader within Virginia's Congressional Delegation and steadfast supporter of Virginia's veterans and their families.
I appreciate his decision to put the interest of the Commonwealth first, and how hard it must have been. I look forward to working with him in the future on important issues, and am glad to have him fighting for us in DC."
