Woodbridge, VA - Republican Corey Stewart announced today he received the endorsement of Prince William Firefighters Local 2598 in his campaign for governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in addition to $5000 campaign contribution.
The firefighters endorsed Stewart in the contest "based on his past support for firefighters and public safety," Paul J. Hebert explained in a letter on behalf of Prince William County Local 2598.
"You have always held the safety of the community as a top priority," Hebert said. "I know as governor of Virginia you will continue to support firefighters and ensure the safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth."
"It is truly an honor to receive the support and endorsement from the bravest protectors Virginia and Prince William have," Stewart said. "Firefighters are our lifeline, and we all owe them a debt of gratitude for their sacrifice and hard work keeping Virginians safe across the Commonwealth," Stewart concluded.
