Woodbridge, VA - Republican gubernatorial candidate Corey Stewart today announced he received the endorsement of Purple Heart recipient LTC Louis E Dorfman, III.
"As a resident of Prince William County for over 20 years, I have seen first hand Corey's ability to not only take a hard stand but also his proven record of getting things done.”, Dorfman said. “As a 34 year veteran of the US Army and a proud father, Corey's stances on key conservative principles such as fighting illegal immigration, protecting the second amendment, and protecting valuable human life are exactly what I want to see in a candidate running for Governor. I am proud to offer my support and my endorsement for Corey Stewart to be the next Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia!”
LTC Dorfman served 34 years in the US Army while being awarded many medals and honors for his leadership and bravery including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Valor, and a Purple Heart, among others.
In August 2016, LTC Dorfman proudly presented the Purple Heart medal he earned while defending our country to President Donald Trump. LTC Dorfman is a strong supporter of both President Trump and Corey Stewart.
“I want to personally thank LTC Dorfman for his years of sacrifice for our State and our Country," said Stewart. "As a relative of servicemen who gave their lives for freedom, LTC Dorfman’s sacrifice does not go unnoticed. The courage and boldness men such as LTC Dorfman exhibit in putting their lives in harm’s way -- often giving up their lives -- is unmatched. Their sacrifice is the epitome of love, bravery, and of the American spirit. As Governor, I will do my best to honor our military men and women by fighting for them in the Richmond and giving them hope for the future of their Commonwealth and Country we all love."
