Stewart Crushes Tim Kaine in U.S. Senate Debate in Hot Springs

Woodbridge, VA - Republican nominee Corey Stewart made it clear Tim Kaine can't bet on a cakewalk in this year's contest for U.S. Senate in Virginia, turning in a spirited debate moderated by Judy Woodruff in front of the Virginia Bar Association at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia, on Saturday.

Stewart hammered Kaine's record as too liberal, too weak, and too ineffective, highlighting the failed vice presidential candidates penchant for flip-flopping on issues such as offshore drilling, abortion, and international trade.

Stewart forced Kaine to acknowledge his support of U.S. House candidate Leslie Cockburn, a known anti-semite nominated by the Democrat Party in Virginia's fifth district.

Stewart also called into question Kaine's affiliation with the Abolish ICE movement, citing a recent Richmond rally at which Kaine spoke where attendees loudly called for the agency to be abolished.

The ninety-minute debate, broadcast by PBS News Hour, can be viewed here.
