STEWART ONLINE TV AD BLASTS KAINE FOR ATTENDING “ABOLISH ICE” RALLY
A new 30-second TV ad from the Corey Stewart campaign takes aim at Senator Tim Kaine for attending an “Abolish Ice” rally in late June.
"On June 30th, Kaine attended an anti-ICE rally and defended sanctuary cities,” the ad voiceover notes, adding that “Kaine’s done nothing in DC but raise taxes, support abortion, destroy jobs, oppose guns and oppose Trump.”
Calling Kaine the “hero” of Antifa and the “violent” left, the Stewart adtakes aim at the incumbent Senator over his strong support of open borders and sanctuary cities – places where local elected officials refuse to assist in federal immigration law enforcement.
The fight against illegal immigration has been a consistent one for Stewart, who instituted the nation’s toughest crackdown on illegals back in 2007 – one that survived a shutdown effort led by then-Governor Kaine.
The ad is sure to stoke controversy with many in the media, by providing an effective video counter to a recent “Politifact” report that gave Stewart a “Pants on Fire” rating for claiming that Tim Kaine supported the abolition of ICE.
“Tim Kaine participated in a rally where speakers led those present in a chant that said ‘What do we want? Abolish ICE. When do we want it? Now!’ Afterwards, Senator Kaine refused to answer a direct question on whether or not he agreed with these protesters. But the real question wasn’t whether he wanted to abolish ICE, but whether or not he was chanting along with these protesters – because everyone knows he agrees with them, even if he lies before the election and says he doesn’t,” Stewart said.
The ad, titled “Antifa”, will run over the next week online and possibly on air.
